What do I pray?

* The publican's prayer: “God be merciful to me a sinner!”

* The Syrophoenician woman's: “Lord help me!” (Mt. 15:25)

* The prayer of the thief on the cross: “Lord, remember me when You come into Your Kingdom!”

* Peter's prayer: “Lord, save me!” (Mt. 14:30)

* Mary's prayer: "I am the Lord's servant... May it be to me as you have said." (Lk. 1:38)

* Jesus' prayer: "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." (Lk. 22:42)

*Stephen's prayer: "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." (Acts 7:60)

* David's prayer: "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight" (Ps. 19:14)

The Lord's Prayer:
Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
(Establishing who He is in relation to who you are)
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
(Surrender to his will completely)
Give us this day our daily bread
(Allowing God to provide your every need, no matter how small)
Forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
(In order to be forgiven you must first forgive)
Lead us not into temptation But deliver us from evil.
(Trusting in God)
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
(Ending again with recognition of who he is.)
The Lord's prayer is the format he commands Christians to use. It works very well.
