Danielle and Adrien

A fun filled day with a lot of very happy people.
But man was it cold. When the outdoor photos were taken the windchill was minus 34! But the bride and groom and the bridesmaids braved the elements for five minutes of shooting. That was about all any of us could muster.
Here is my fav photo of the day..... although I have a lot of favs.
A lovely genuine couple looking forward to a lifetime of love.
There was a whole lot a love floating around and I kept wanting to kiss sherpa...... of course he has been away in Brazill this past week so that might be why but I am sure all this young love had something to do with it.

excuse me I have to go kiss sherpa.......

Danielle's gown was ahhhmazing. Her mother sewed it and her mother and grandmother sewed all 2 million beads on it.
Okay maybe there were only 1 million.
But there you go - the gown had family love woven throughout.

I think one of my most favorite places to shoot a bride and her maids is in the bathrooms at the Bess! Whoa - glamorous!

This is what the groom looks like when her sees his bride coming down the aisle......

Okay here is the minus 34 windchill part. My, but they were good sports and I knew there wasn't going to be room for "just one more shot"

The capes were also made by the brides mom - more love.

Brrrrrrrr  Newlyweds - taken just outside the church.

brrrr even more taken during the reception and it felt like minus 50! Three shots, 20 sec and we ran back inside. But they look so warm and cosy....... more of that love again. :)

 let's BOOGIE!!!!

My thanks to Mark and Clay for coming along and keeping the guys laughing. I am looking forward to seeing all the great photos they took!

Now I am going to go recover....and kiss sherpa again. :)

In Christ Alone

Here’s a brand new 10th anniversary edition of the great hymn “In Christ Alone.”

or if you prefer.....
Lacrae...

Personally I like to listen to lyrics I can understand and actually sing along to.
I also prefer a melody that resolves and doesn't leave my heart racing or my head spinning.

But then again I am one of those middle aged women.
So it doesn't really matter what I think.

today

Couldn't decide which photo to put on the 365 today so they are all going here. But of course in the final analysis the grand baby won. :)

Oh she knows a good book when she sees one!!!

My other photos today?
Hung out a Indigo for an hour this am. Sweetheart was looking for some fiction for his 11 hour wait in Toronto tomorrow before his flight to Brazil. He picked out one book. I sent him back for a second.
.... you know where I hung out.

Photo shoot today

Transformed the living room into my studio today. Managed to sync three lights perfectly. Thrilled with the results of adding gels to my back light.
Call me if you want to look this beautiful. :)

Secret of Success

Prayer is the main secret of success in spiritual business. It moves Him who can move heaven and earth. It brings down the promised aid of the Holy Spirit, without whom the finest sermons, the clearest teaching, and the most diligent labors, are all alike in vain. It is not always those who have the most eminent gifts who are most successful laborers for God. It is generally those who keep up closest communion with Christ and are most constant in prayer.

The last Day of 2010

We had a gang over for New Years Eve and we had a fun time. Played Way of Peace and Taboo. We are not very good at Taboo - well Allison is, but the rest of us need a little more practice because um, um, oh, oh, um is not a very good clue.
My recent bride and friend Jessica and her new husband gave us this little tree ornament with wine glass charms on them. They worked - not one person lost their wine glass last night. They even worked on the martini glasses. Cute eh?

And while I was at it I took a few photos of the spotted wine glass - cause I like how it looked with the festive decorations. I think this one goes in the istock file whenever I get around to to the istock thing. But first I have to finish the book on it that I am reading.
Taboo and food and laughing.
And do you believe this girl? She slept 5 min over the 6 hrs they were here and was happy and smiley all night. Wearing a new super soft sleeper from Aunt Cathy. She has such a cheerful, content disposition. I warned her parents that this is not the norm and the next one was sure to be a screamer.

I just think they should be prepared. Don't you?

Happy New Year!!

CHECK out the 365 BLOG - I am back at it again for another 365 days of photo taking. Am I crazy? Probably!
