I'm Back

It's been over a week since I blogged. I don't know that I have ever been so long between blogs.

We were in Jasper for a conference last week - and so my absence from blogging. The mountains and the mountain air kept me out hiking and eating way too much. We were sooo busy that I only got on the lap top once to retrieve a few e-mails.

However I did take hundreds of pictures and will share a few with you tonight.

Isn't His creation amazing?
Blessings! Have a fabulous day tomorrow!

Absolutely beautiful. I will be visiting Jasper on Wednesday with my hubby (he just arrived home yesterday). Where is the lookout located in Jasper?

Yeah Jo-Ann I am so glad to hear your husband is home! I think about you guys and pray for you and his safety.
Visit the Whistler mtn tram to get to the top of the world - but if it is overcast, you won't see much. Maligne Canyon is spectacular and free - take your camera and good shoes. Maligne Lake is pretty - take the boat ride. Watch the roadside for wildlife. Have FUN!!

Well ladies, plan to do lots of hiking and climbing - therer are so many spectacular trails and lookouts. The best view is to pay the $25 to take the tram to the top of Whistlers Mtn - the views on a clear day are incredible. It snowed while we were up there and was cloudy so my pics are not great.
get some maps of trails, pack a lunch and head up there. Learn about how to respond if you come across a black or grissly bear or an Elk or Moose. Don't take bells - apparently they now attract the animals as they have associated them with food. :) We were told that just talking is enough to keep them at a distance. Google Jasper, Nat Park and you can get lots of info.

Beautiful Pictures Julie. I love visiting the mountains. It is one of the few places my soul can be revitalized. I always feel the closest to HIM while gazing at his creations. I feel small there and can put my life into perspective easier.
