Last Aug we packed the new car up and took off after work on Friday - made it to Drumheller. Then on to Panorama B&B, south to Coeur D'alene B&B, Idaho then west to Washington and the Port Angeles Ferry to Victoria and north to Mill Bay for a grand baby fix. Lots of visits with family in Victoria.
We headed home via Kelowna then north to Jasper. We had never driven the Banff to Jasper Hwy and it was beautiful even with a little snow storm. Then an over night in Edmonton with a titch of shopping and home.
Enjoyed each other and the long talks in the car, the scenery, the folks we met at the B&B's, family and our sweet Tanis.
Here is a quick pictorial synopsis.
Oh Canada, the true north strong and free.
We really are blessed with a stunningly beautiful country.
Sometimes it is good for the soul to just stop and look at it for a spell.
And give thanks!

When did you go on this trip? I went with SIL and her two little ones the at the end of August. Had a snow storm at the top of the mountain when we took the gondala to the top. Love the pics. And wow, is she ever growing up fast!
We were away Aug 27th to Sept 6th - the snowstorm was brief and near Jasper on the 5th. We just drove through it, but it was fun to have all this snow coming down as we reached the higher elevations.
