Phoenix 2014

Blitzing here to get this coffee table book done and off to print.
It takes a LOT of hours and is a labour of love but it is THE best way to archive the memories. One day my grandchildren will say "Boy I am so glad Grandma made these books.... I remember this!!"  "We had so much fun on that trip"
I have been editing photos over the past few weeks but with a couple of days off the day job this week I finalized the best, tweeked them to perfection and uploaded them. All 241 of them.
Then I started designing my book which I love to do. it distracts me from the guilt of not going to the gym on my day off. :)
I am happy with the results and will send it off to print today along with several other books waiting in the queue.

Our one week trip to Phoenix - the zoo, the museum, a ton of pool time and connecting with friends . It's all there. Just click on the book to turn the pages.

Sisters

It is rare that I get a photograph of both of the girls. Norah just does not sit still at the best of times but particularily if her sister is close by.
However of late she is giving more hugs and loving on her sister a little more.

Makes me smile. :)

Monkeys

After lunch with the girls (little girls with sticky fingers and one particular little girl who needed a nap!) I have spent the afternoon playing with photos from our Phoenix trip. I am busy trying to get them into a book before a sale deadline this weekend.

But I thought I would share a few pics of this monkey taken at the Phoenix zoo.  It was the end of the day and a lot of walking when we got to the monkeys and I had all of 4 minutes to capture him as the little ones were ready to head home and the gang was moving on without me.....

I was very thankful my sweetheart was willing to drag around my long lens all day just so I could use it to get these photos. :)

Now I strongly suggest you click on the photos to see them large and in more detail

Family

A while back, a long while back, I made a little scrap book for David's parents of some of the fun times we had visiting with the kids at Coney Island over the years. I also have made a few digital pages of some of those photos. So I scanned the pages and along with the digital pages created a book. It turned out very well and while it was a tad pricey, those memories are now solidly in a book that will last a few generations on pages that are thick enough to withstand a few adult greasy fingers and a few wild toddlers.

Here it is. :)
just click on the book to open the pages.

Is that so!!!

Norah's new pose. Can't make her do it but every now and then she does and this time I was across the table from her. Only got one eye in focus because I didn't have time to adjust my settings, but I still love it.
Just cracks me up.

I love Grandpa

Took the whole gang out for breakfast and since Grandpa is the fastest eater he got to play with Norah, which delighted her of course.

Mini Albums

Got photos crammed into your wallet?
Or maybe somewhere in the abyss of your purse?
Gransparents nagging about updated photos for bragging?

I have something for you!

Mini albums and teeny mini albums.

I love these  mini albums and have made several for the great grandparents, a few for myself and many for my clients. They fit anywhere, are so cute and even cuter when you open them up and show off your precious ones.

They are a soft leatherette with great solid binding and secure magnetic closure

The larger one is 2 1/4 "X 3 "and is my preferred size. This is the one Grandma's love!
The the teeny one is so darn cute - it is 1 1/4 X 1 1/2 the size is ridiculously small and always brings a chuckle yet the photos are still clear! it comes with a strap which is perfect for a key chain - what a great gift for Grandpa!

They fit from 8-15 photos depending on the configuration - single or double spreads.

And they won't break the bank!

So book your spring family shoot and see Grandma and Grandpa smile!

Yikes! Another Birthday!

It's my Birthday today and my husband took me out for lunch at Prairie Ink.
I had the schmoo cake for dessert. And they put a candle in it for me.

It was wonderful!!

 Had a great day!
Also had face time with the grands in Sooke sending lots of hugs and kisses over the internet. They  sang happy birthday to me but face time sound quit half way in.
Just after lunch I received a wonderful chorus of happy birthday from Allison, Eva and Norah - oh how I wish I could have recorded those sweet voices too.
Mark called from the zoo in Calgary- that guy gets around!!
My mom called from Victoria. :)
Oh and Harold wished me a happy birthday as we cleaned up a minor flood in the kitchen... that under counter leak will have to get fixed soon. :)
So a wonderful day.
I am blessed!
