"No screen time under age 2," they say - but just try to keep the 1-year-old away while the 4-year-old is watching her Princess song videos! A parenting challenge of our day. But I suspect they'll survive. :)

It is so similar to TV watching in the days of our parenting - I think that limits are definitely in order for the tech toys and games.
My little grandson loves his tablet and he is only 2 years old - I think the screen may be a bit addictive for them!
What do you think Julie?

I am not sure what to think. My gut reaction is the light off the screens can't be good for their eyes and I wish they would prefer to pick up a book. But I have no research to back that up. :) And I am likely old fashioned about the books - although it will be a sad day when we stop reading from books.
I do know that if the girls are here for a sleepover i make sure the ipad accompanies them because it works!! But I do hope one day the girls will have their noses in a book more then some electronic devise - Their mother read constantly from age 5 on. Reading exercises the brain and makes the mind think! It makes us use our imagination.
