SHINY

Took this photo last week and had to print it off right away.
Wednesday morning 7am...
He kissed me goodbye.
I heard the garage door open... but it didn't close.
I peaked out and .....
...so THAT's why I have so many dirty rags on the laundry room floor!
Haha
I love this guy.

More Digital

On to September to November 2003
I figure I will go with the momentum here because if I stop it could be another year before I get going again. I have my moments when I ask myself why I am doing this. Especially at 4am!
Do you scrapbookers have those moments?
I know you do....
....it's not like the kids are hounding me daily to get their lives into an album...
But one day...maybe....my grandkids may just find it all amusing.

and another from July that I just finished up (how to use nine photos on one page).

On to October...
And I am stopping here and posting this now because i have just discovered all the digital photos we took with our first digital camera in early Dec 2003....and there are a TON of them.

Just when I thought I was sooo close to moving on to 2004.
sigh
I need a few hours to sort through them all....

Sutherland Beach

I took a day off work yesterday. I just needed it.
Picked up the gear and went for a short walk with my friend Canon along Sutherland beach.
70-200 came too. As a matter of fact, 70-200 did most of the 'talking'

To Him I direct you

“You should tell the devil, “Just by telling me that I am a miserable, great sinner you are placing a sword and a weapon into my hand with which I can decisively overcome you; yea, with your own weapon I can kill and floor you.
For if you tell me that I am a poor sinner, I, on the other hand, can tell you that Christ dies for sinners and is their Intercessor… You remind me of the boundless, great faithfulness and benefaction of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The burden of my sins and all the trouble and misery that were to oppress me eternally He very gladly took upon His shoulders and suffered the bitter death on the cross for them.

To Him I direct you. You may accuse and condemn Him.
Let me rest in peace, for on His shoulders, not on mine, lie all my sins and the sins of all the world.”

Digital Efforts

I have been working away at photos from the year 2003. We did a lot of things that year (like any other year) and I photographed them all, so there are hundreds of photos to cull through! I have been scanning a good portion of them.

When I started working on 2003, I was learning digital scrapbooking so I decided that the year 2003 would all be digital. I am looking forward to seeing how the album looks when it is all done. I am especially looking forward to finishing the year 2003 because I have been at it now for ....over a year! At this rate....
I won't think about that!

Dec 2003 is when our household went digital and from then on all the photos are on my computer....somewhere. So no more scanning and fixing in Lightroom after that. YEAH!

I set my goal for 2003 and so I will finish it. I am stubborn that way. Hopefully I will get better at it as I go..... In the meantime I will try to do a little paper scrapbooking of the more recent photos.

So here you go.
A digital glimpse into our lives from June to August 2003.

Perfect Day

A few weekends ago we spent the day with friends up at their cottage at Wakaw. The day started with a 7:15 am tee off time. The morning was perfect, the sun warm, the breeze refreshing and we didn't see any mosquitoes. We couldn't have ordered in a more perfect day.
Dave shot one of his best rounds.
We won't talk about my golf....

Took this on the drive up. I think the most beautiful photos are taken at sunrise and sun set.

After golf we were treated to one heck of a hungry man's breakfast - what wasn't there?
Pancakes, eggs, sausage, ham, bacon, fruit, hash browns, muffins.... did I leave anything out?

Then off to the lake to sit on the dock - there were some pretty blue dragonflies  - which explains why I didn't see any mosquitoes.

Some fun on the water....

Some fun on the dock..... Coconut Mojito...mmmmm

And a few more...

I seem to be on a roll here.
Amazing what happens when you sort through your photos and clean up the scrapbooking supplies.
BBQ
Those BBQ letters are metallic. Didn't handle the scan too well. This is a photo from 2007. His Father's Day present. The best part was that he and Harold worked together for several hours in the garage to put it all together. Unfortunately I missed getting photos of that!

Coffee Mug
A photo from 2009. My fav coffee mug. It broke..... and I miss this mug and am thinking another trip to Hawaii to get a new one is in order.
Don't you agree?

And FINALLY

Priceless
This two page spread has taken TWO years to do. I have laid these photos on probably 15 different papers and not found one I liked. It just sat there until I put them on another piece of paper. But this past Saturday, I just put it together and I am okay with it. What really excites me is that it is FINALLY off the shelf after two years of waiting to be scrapbooked.
