Less gab - more layouts

Okay less gab and more layouts today...
I wish the layout were clearer - they are much better in real life.
I have used our new overlays again and then added my titles with chipboard cut from our die cut machine. So easy! Yes, you can cut any of our diecuts with chipboard. Add some pattern paper over the chipboard (cut with the diecut) and a little bling and the page is ready to go!

Its all in the details and most weddings are full of details that, when they all come together, make for a wonderful celebration and day of fun. So how do we capture all those details without making the wedding album 100 pages long? Make the pictures smaller. Just open your photo editing program and go in and crop those special details out. I cropped my details 2x2.To ease the eye, I added my title in the rows of photos and added fillers here and there so the eye is not overwhelmed. It is hard to see the photos on the blog here but they are all those special moments and things that go into a wedding that I want to remember but perhaps not devote a page to. :) If you change several of the photos to black and white, the page will look less busy.

Journalling is so important because in 20 years you are not going to remember what you were feeling, thinking or even doing when you look at the photos. I like to "hide" my journalling in my paper -make it part of the page. Just use a patterned paper that is not too dark or detailed and run it through the printer, or hand journal and then add it to the page. So many of our papers today have words on them that are really just part of the design and look of the paper. Well just make those words your words and incorporate them into the patterned paper. Be creative with different fonts and sizes. Have fun with your journalling.

Now I am not very experienced with hiding my journalling under pictures with pull outs and hinges, but Laura and Pam are experts at it. Visit us at Just ScrapIt! and take a look at some of their creations - wow! lots of ideas for getting pages of precious journalling on the layout and keeping it hidden - just ask and we will show you where it is hiding!
Thanks for looking!

I loooove the "details" pages! The family portraits and things like that are great too, but you're right that it's those little details I want to rememeber that made the day so special. :)

They all look great!

Love Allie

One of my friends just got married, and I had the priviledge of following her around for the whole weekend taking pictures so we could scrapbook it. And you did such an amazing job on all these wedding pictures, I hope you don't mind if I scraplift a few of them.
