LIGHT Painting

I crossed Light Painting off my photography bucket list today when capturing a photo for my 365.
YEAH!
Time lapse photography and LOTS of travel photography still on the list. :)
I was so happy with the results that I had trouble picking just one. Harold picked his Favorite so it is posted on the 365 HERE. These photos won runners up.

What's your favorite?

Allison's choice.

Don't forget to check out Harold's pick for the 365 of the day.

Once again, AMAZING Julie! I would love to be able to take half as good of photos as you do. Thanks for more inspirational photos!

I love these! I'd love to see a behind-the-scenes or tutorial blog post on this.

Hmmm a tutorial. I am so strapped for time these days I am not sure I can do a tutorial properly - and I don't do video. :). I learned from a book and from the web. Try http://diyphotography.net/painting_with_light
I used an aperture of F22 because there was some light in the room where I shot. I used manual mode and 10-15 second exposures. I also used a speed light with gels on it and manually flashed it 2-6 times to illuminate the glass. Hope that helps. Have fun!
